Rather than bashing into the container and wget the script etc, I manually created the script file outside the container and mounted the folder into the container using the instructions atĪlso seems like the script I WGET into the container had incorrect syntax and the entire script was on one line. I just cant get the script to work! Think I'm missing something obvious, im not very conversant on how the script works and simply followed the instructions layed out by aptalca on the linuxserver git.įigured it out. ![]() Once I did that, HW encoding worked straight away. Plex can play a wide range of video, audio and photo formats as well as online streaming audio and video. ![]() I was able to confirm its not anything outside of the docker by manually adding user abc to the render group and assigning it the GID 108. Plex Media Center bridges the gap between your Mac/Windows and your home theater, doing so with a visually appealing user interface that provides instant access to your media. Also passed through the GID's as required. Is there any other tricks required to get this going? Ive got the gpu recognised within the LXC and responds to vainfo. I've run the wget command as per the OP you linked and restarted the docker container but the permissions for the render device remains at 108. I cant seem to get this script to work as a workaround though. ![]() I'm in exactly the same boat on this issue. Mount this script into /etc/cont-init.d in your docker container: ( ). Just an FYI for those who find their way here - the workaround I posted at the top does the trick.
